Her son, Miles William, was named after her brother, William, who died in 1988 at the age of 26 form a swimming accident while on a family vacation.
The 2007 film "Gracie" is based upon events that occurred in Elisabeth and her brother, Andrew's lives.
Graduated from Harvard University in June 2000 with a degree in Government.
Elisabeth was an accomplished high school gymnast with aspirations to the state finals.
Elisabeth got started in commercials as "The Burger King Girl."
Elisabeth's parents divorced when she was in the 4th grade.
Elisabeth dated co-star Val Kilmer (they filmed The Saint together).
Elisabeth went to Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ
Elisabeth's father-in-law, Charles Guggenheim, was a documentary filmmaker who was nominated for an Oscar 11 times and won four.
In sixth grade, Shue tried out for and won a spot on the boys' soccer team and played against boys for three years (there was no girls soccer teams). When her high school wouldn't add a girls soccer team, she took up gymnastics and became the captain of the tam.
